Bullet-riddled SI's body found in car

A bullet-riddled body of a Arunachal Pradesh policeman was found inside his car at a place between Itanagar and Naharlagun on NH 415 today, the police said.

The body of Sub Inspector Hano Chatung with two bullet injuries on his head was found in the driver seat of his personal car, Itanagar Police Station officer in charge N Sora said.

A 2010 batch officer, Chatung was on his way to Doimukh from Itanagar to report for duty at around 7.30 in the morning. His body was found at around 8 AM.

Police suspect it to a case of suicide as bullet marks were found on the right side of the head of the deceased and a hole caused by bullet was detected on the left side of the roof of the car.
 

A case has been registered at Itanagar police station and investigation is on to know the exact cause of his death, Sora said.

Meanwhile, the body was sent for postmortem at Tomo Riba State Hospital in Naharlagun.
