Kosmik Global Media Private Limited CEO and Bengaluru Bulls' Owner, Uday Sinh Wala today said his team has put behind last season's dismal performance and is confident of booking a semifinal berth in the fourth Pro-Kabaddi League.

"I will tell unabashedly - this year we will be in semifinals, though we have young players. We are positioned fifth on the points table, we will storm into the top four zone and be in semifinals, from thereon," Wala told reporters.

Bengaluru are placed fifth on the points table with 20 points, after having lost three matches and winning as many matches, with one match ending in a draw.

There are seven more games to be played for Bengaluru to qualify into the knockout round, and Wala hoped to do it with the help of a young side, which has lost matches by a very small margin.

"We believe in fielding young players, and our aim is to build a team over time, which will perform consistently. Our side has lost matches with two to three points margin not a big margin," he said.

Bengaluru has an impressive lineup of players who have shown remarkable performances throughout the season. They have players of the calibre of Captain Surendar Nada, Rohit Kumar, Mohit Chhillar, Pawan Kumar, Ashish Kumar, Jeeva Gopal, Rahul Kumar, Yogesh Hooda, Manoj Kumar, Rohit Baliyan, Nicholar G, Sanjay Shrestha, Sinotharan Kanesharajan, Deepak Dahiya, Harish Naik, Ajay Singh and Sumit Singh.

Wala said his players have the ability to beat the strongest teams Puneri Paltan, Telugu Titans and Mumba.

Wala further said the team performed really well in the first two seasons, but had a very bad third season as they lost all their senior players and fielded young players.

Bengaluru Bulls Coach Randhir Singh said Puneri Paltans and Patna Pirates are two strongest teams this season and would love to beat them. "Pune and Patna are two strongest teams this season and I take them as a challenge, and I would love to beat them."

Bengaluru captain Nada said his team boasts of a good set of young and experienced players, besides the coach has extended immense support to improve team strategy.

"The Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League helps create an intrigue and buzz among the masses about the sport. It is a platform for kabaddi players like us to showcase our mettle. Our goal is to continue playing our best, build the visibility of the sport and entertain the kabaddi fans in the city."

Bengaluru will start their 2nd leg of competition from tomorrow against Telugu Titans. The other three matches will be played against Jaipur Pink Panthers (July 13), Patna Pirates (July 14) and Dabang Delhi (July 15).
