Devinder Singh alias 'Bunty Chor', considered a skilled conman, undergoing imprisonment on charges of burlery, today allegedly attempted to commit suicide in the jail.
Sigh, lodged in central prison here, was admitted to the Medical College hospital after he stated that he had consumed parts of CFL bulb along with food, hospital sources said.
He was admitted in the hospital after a through examination and his condition was stated to be stable.
A city court had on May 22 sentenced him to 10 years jail term for breaking into an NRI businessman's house here and stealing several costly items from there in 2013.
