One person was arrested as police claimed to have solved a burglary case and recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs five lakh in Uri sector of north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said today.
Vinod Kumar, a teacher by profession, lodged a written complaint with police station Uri claiming that some unknown persons had barged into his house at village Lagama on June 3 and decamped with gold ornaments, a police official said.
Accordingly, the FIR was registered and investigations set into motion.

"After strenuous efforts, police got a clue about involvement of one Ajeet Kumar of the same village in the theft," the official said.
He said the accused was subsequently arrested and during questioning confessed about his involvement in the crime.
"At his disclosure, all the stolen property valuing Rs five lakh was recovered," the official added.
