Burglars decamp with 410 gms gold from ex-IRS officer's house

Burglars struck at an independent house of a former IRS officer in the wee hours of today and decamped with 410gm gold ornaments, police said.

The house break-in incident took place in Visalakshinagar area.

Inspector of Arilova Police Station Tirupathi Rao said the burglars gained entry into the independent house of one M S Nayak, a retired IRS officer, by opening the bolt of the main door. They later entered into the bedroom and found the cupboard was not locked.

The 410gm gold was kept in the cupboard and they made good with it, said the Inspector.

The police suspect the break-in took place between 3.30 am and 4 am. Nayak and his family members, including wife, son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, were in the house at the time of incident.
 

The police suspect an inter-state gang may be involved.
