As there was a series of such cases in the city, a special police team under the supervision of the DCP (Zone-II) was formed to nab the perpetrators.
The modus operandi of the accused was to do a recce of the streets on motorcycles during day time and identify the houses whose residents were away. They would then break into such houses at night with one person keeping watch outside, the DCP said.
