"We have made a fresh arrest. The accused Amarbir Bajwa is charged with beating up Yannick and he has been arrested," Additional DCP Jalandhar, Navjot Mahal, told PTI over phone.
He said Bajwa, whose father is a Managing Director of a cooperative mill, was being questioned by the police.
Mahal further said that the LOC had been issued against another accused in the case, Jaskaran Singh alias Jassa, who flew to Australia on a student visa after the incident.
With Bajwa's arrest, the total number of accused arrested so far in the case has gone up to five.
Meanwhile, Romi Uppal, son of an SP rank officer, whose two-day police remand ended today was sent to another two days police remand by a Jalandhar Court.

Those already arrested in this case are Romi Uppal, Sahil Deep Singh and another accused Sumeet. All of them are in police custody, Mahal said.
Uppal, son of Punjab Superintendent of Police Dharam Singh Uppal, had last week surrendered before police.
There were about 10 people who attacked 23-year-old Nihangaza on April 21 and he continued to be in a state of coma for the last two months in a private hospital at Patiala.
