An accused in the murder of Burundi youth Yannick Nihangaza has gone missing after getting a parole from a court here, prompting police to form an SIT to probe the incident and nab him.
Raman Uppal alias Romi Uppal, whose father was a senior police officer, was among nine people named in the FIR for attacking the 23-year-old African student of a private college in the city here.
"Romi Uppal is absconding and police have formed an SIT to arrest him," Police Commissioner Vijay Pratap Singh said.

The three-member SIT will also probe the incident and submit its report soon.
Yannick went into vegetative state after the attack and after two years of treatment he was airlifted to his country, where he breathed his last this year.
According to a senior police official, all the accused may be charged for murder now as the victim is no more.
On April 21, 2012, Yannick was on his way to a party in Jalandhar when he was attacked by a group of people.
He was stoned and severely thrashed and left on the roadside. Romi was arrested in July last year after his name was figured in the call details of the main accused in the case.
