Two persons were killed and 30 others injured when a speeding bus carrying a marriage party fell into a ditch on Bhabua-Adhaura road near Mushaharva Baba crossing today in Bihar's Kaimur district, police said.
The accident took place when the driver of the vehicle lost control as a result of which it fell into a 20 feet deep ditch, Sub-Divisional Police Officer(SDPO) Nirmla Kumari said.
The bus was carrying a marriage party of about 40 people, she said.
The deceased were identified as Santlal Yadav (45) and Raj Narain Thakur(50), the SDPO added.
The bus was on its way to Kochas from Koluaha in the same district.
Injured have been admitted to sadar hospital where condition of some of them is stated to be serious, the SDPO added.
