The bus, carrying a marriage party was on it way back to Hinganghat, when the blaze broke out in the vehicle near Jam village, killing five passengers on the spot, they said.
Six others were injured in the mishap. The cause of the fire is not yet known and further investigations are on.
The deceased are yet to be identified.
