Fifteen workers with an oil drilling company were killed in a head-on collision between two buses in southern Kuwait today, the fire department said.
Fire department spokesman Colonel Khalil al-Amir told AFP that the victims, mostly Asian expats, were employees of Burgan Drilling, a private subcontractor.
Four other workers were hospitalised, some in critical condition, Amir said, without giving the nationalities of the casualties.
Like the other Arab states of the oil-rich Gulf, Kuwait has drawn international condemnation for its track record on migrant workers' rights and labour conditions.
