Two persons were killed on the spot and seven others injured yesterday when a bus with nine people on board fell into a 100 ft deep gorge at Kandiyal village near Lambgaon about 90 kms from the district headquarters at Nayee Tehri, SP Janmejay Prabhakar Kailash Khanduri said.
The bus was going from Rishikesh to Uttarkashi when the accident occurred, he said.
All the seven injured were admitted at a hospital in Uttarkashi from where four of them were referred to a Dehradun hospital, he said.
One succumbed to injuries on the way, he added.
