Bus operators strike on July 31 as talks fail

The call for strike has been given by the Joint Council of Bus Syndicate to demand hike bus and taxi fares.

Transport Minister Madan Mitra, however, ruled out any increase in the fares in the state.

Minibus operators would not join the strike.
