Bus overturns: One dead, six Nepali nationals among 42 injured

One person died and 42 others, including six Nepali nationals, got injured as a passenger bus they were travelling in overturned and fell into a roadside ditch on Nanpara-Rupiyadeeh road today.

The private bus carrying about 60 passengers from Rupiyadeeh to Bahraich overturned on a culvert and plunged into a ditch in Rupiyadeen police station limits killing a 60-year-old man from Semri village, Kallan, on the spot, police said.

As many as 42 others, among them Nepali nationals and women and children, were injured and admitted to a nearby government hospital.

Five of the seriously injured were referred to Bahraich district hospital, police added.
