Airtel Payments Bank on Thursday said it has enabled Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS) at over 2.5 lakh of its banking points across India.
With AePS, customers of any bank with Aadhaar linked bank accounts can undertake financial transactions at the designated banking points of Airtel Payments Bank, a statement said.
Customers of Airtel Payments Bank can also do financial transactions at any AePS enabled bank, it added.
AePS allows customers to carry out financial transactions on a micro-ATM by using their Aadhaar number or virtual ID to access their Aadhaar linked bank account. Transactions are authenticated only if the customer's Aadhaar number and fingerprint match the records.

* Western Digital strengthens channel partner initiatives in India
* Data infrastructure company Western Digital on Thursday said it will undertake new initiatives for its channel partners in India to help them expand their operations.
The company has also introduced new rewards programmes for its channel partners to help them grow and maximise profitability, a statement said.
These initiatives include SanDisk League of Heroes (SLH), Western Digital Elite Partner Promo and myWD Partner Program, it added.
"We run one of the strongest and most successful partner programs in the channel today. We continue to reinvent the way that we work with our partners, and it is exciting to see that our efforts are paying off, across our channel partner spectrum," Jaganathan Chelliah, Director Channel Marketing at Western Digital India, said.
