BYPL counters to remain open for 12 hours on Sundays

This initiative, which is likely to benefit over 12 lakh customers, will come into effect from January 27.

BYPL customers will now start getting bills with Sunday as the due date. The bill payment facilities at 14 locations will operate from 8 am to 8 pm. Earlier, these counters were open from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday's.

According to BYPL CEO Ramesh Narayanan, "Acting on consumers' feedback, BYPL has decided to make its bill payment counters operational for 12 hours on Sundays also. During the interactions, we realised that the number of nuclear families in Delhi are increasing.

 

"In many such families, both the spouses work 6 days a week. Naturally for such families, timely bill payments becomes a problem. This step has been taken keeping these customers and their interests in mind."

The bill payment counters that will operate on Sundays include the Division office counters at Chandni Chowk, Daryaganj, Krishna Nagar, Yamuna Vihar, Nand Nagri, Laxmi Nagar, Patel Nagar, Mayur Vihar 1-2, Mayur Vihar-3, Jhilmil, Shankar Road, Paharganj, GT Road and Karawal Nagar.
