Bypolls to Shahdol (ST) Lok Sabha seat and Nepanagar (ST) Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh will be held on November 19.
Announcing the poll schedule today, an Election Commission official said the model code of conduct has come into force with immediate effect.
The notification for the by-polls will be issued on October 26, kicking of the process of filing the nominations, last date for which is November 2, the official said.

The scrutiny of the nominations will take place on November 3, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is November 5.
The counting of votes will be done on November 22, the EC official said, adding that entire poll process will be completed by November 24.
While Shahdol bypoll is necessitated due to death of sitting BJP MP Dalpat Singh Paraste, Nepanagar Assembly seat fell vacant due to death of sitting BJP MLA Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu in an accident.
While BJP is trying to woo tribals in Shahdol and Anuppur in view of the bypoll, opposition Congress has claimed that tide is in their favour in the constituency.
Madhya Pradesh unit Congress chief Arun Yadav has alleged that the government machinery was being "misused" and officers transferred ahead of Shahdol bypoll.
