The Chhattisgarh government has prepared a detailed plan to celebrate 'International Yoga Day' on a grand scale on June 21 and associate atleast 50 lakh people with the event across the state.
Preparations are going on in full swing with a view to make the celebration of third 'International Yoga Day' in the state a huge success, an official here said.
Notably, the state government had set up a Yoga Commission for spreading awareness regarding Yoga right from Gram Panchayat level to district and in schools of the state.

"This year the target is to associate atleast 50 lakh people including students, youth, elderly, prominent citizens, government employees and officers, in the yogic exercise in the state right from the urban areas to villages," the official said.
In the maoist-affected areas of Bastar division, police and paramilitary forces will also take part in Yoga along with local people, he said.
The state-level ceremony on the day will be held in the capital Raipur where Governor Balramji Das Tandon and Chief Minister Raman Singh will be present, he said.
Similarly, state cabinet ministers and other public representatives will take part in Yoga even at district headquarters.
Chief minister Raman Singh has appealed to the citizens to participate in the Yoga Day in large numbers and make it a grand success, the official said.
