Delivering the convocation address of the 91 Degree Engineering and the 18 Technical Entry Scheme Courses at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) here, Dutt observed that rapid advancement in technologies is fuelling changes at an exhilarating rate.
He said maintenance and production of new weapons is a continuous process and rapid developments in weapons and technology, developing their maintenance systems to a very high level for the military forces, is of utmost importance, an official release said.
The military engineers have to develop their efficiency in maintenance capabilities and to make contributions directly to national defence, the governor said.
A total of 21 officers graduated with the 91 Degree Engineering Course and 32 officers with the 18 Technical Entry Scheme Course.
The officers were awarded Bachelor of Technology Degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, the release added.
