A cab driver was apprehended by CISF personnel after a short chase at the Delhi airport today for allegedly hitting and speeding away with a private security guard on its bonnet following a spat.

A senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer said the incident was reported at around 4 pm outside Terminal-III of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

The driver, according to the officer, has been identified as D N Singh and he was driving an Ola cab.

The officer said Singh had an altercation with Arun Kumar, a private security official, after the latter flagged him down for alleged unauthorised pick-up of passengers from the airport.

An enraged Singh allegedly hit Kumar. He sped away with Kumar on his car's bonnet.

The CISF personnel chased the white-coloured cab and nabbed the driver. He was later handed over to police, the officer added.
