The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will felicitate Wriddhiman Saha for his heroic unbeaten century in a losing cause for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL summit clash against Kolkata Knight Riders.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had earlier proposed to invite the Bengal wicketkeeper-batsman for the KKR felicitation, but CAB said it would not be befitting to felicitate the KXIP cricketer on the same platform as KKR.
"Saha is Bengal's pride and we all feel proud of his unbeaten knock, though it came against the home side. We would separately felicitate him in a fitting manner," a CAB official said today.

Saha, meanwhile, arrived in the city this afternoon, hours before the triumphant KKR landed to a heroic welcome this evening.
"Of course, it feels frustrating to not win the match despite scoring an unbeaten century. But this is the way of cricket, we have to accept it and move on," Saha told reporters at the airport, referring to his 115 not out from 55 balls.
