The Cabinet today gave ex-post facto approval to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) inked between Bureau of Indian Standards and Mali's Direction Nationale De Industries.
The pact was signed on standardisation and conformity assessment of goods.
"The MoU aims to facilitate closer cooperation and provide a mechanism by which India and Mali can work together towards the common aim of strengthening standardisation and conformity assessment activities in order to facilitate sharing of expertise and mutual trade," an official statement said.

Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa.
The bilateral trade between the countries stood at USD 207.3 million in 2015-16.
