The Union Cabinet today discussed the rail tragedy in Bihar and expressed concern amid suggestions that sabotage could have been the cause.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the mishap and the Cabinet colleagues joined him in expressing concern over the incident, Law Minister Ravi Shanker Prasad told reporters while briefing on the meeting.
"The Cabinet discussed it informally," Prasad said when asked whether the incident was raised.

He said the meeting expressed sadness over the loss of life and injuries to people in the incident.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh also spoke, he said.
Referring to the incident, the Minister said there were "reports" and "talk" that sabotage could have been the cause of the tragedy.
Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda has gone to the spot and a "formal reaction" will be given only after his return, Prasad said, adding the Home Minister will make a statement.
Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express derailed at Golden Ganj station near Chapra in Bihar early this morning, killing at least four passengers and injuring eight.
