Cabinet likely to discuss India-Fiji air service pact tomorrow

The Cabinet is likely to discuss tomorrow the signing of air service agreement between India and Fiji.

Besides, the proposal for leasing out around 4,050 square metres of land owned by AAI to set up a centre for perishable cargo at Guwahati airport is expected to be discussed, sources said.

According to them, the proposal is for leasing out land to Assam Industrial Development Corporation for establishing the centre and its future expansion at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport Guwahati.

Sources also said inking of air service pact with Fiji is likely to be taken up.

Air service agreement provides a legal framework for the operation of any airline providing provision for traffic rights and points of call, among others.
