Cabinet nod to land allotment to MP govt for state guest house

The Centre today approved allotment of a 1.478-acre plot in the national capital to Madhya Pradesh government for constructing its guest house, an official statement said.

The Union cabinet gave nod to the land at T-Junction of Jesus and Mary Marg and Dr Radhakrishnan Marg, Chankyapuri in posh central Delhi, it added.

The Madhya Pradesh government, which is currently occupying land measuring 0.89 acres at 2, Gopinath Bardolai Marg, Chanakyapuri, will have to surrender it to the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry after the guest house is constructed at the alloted land.

It will also pay for the difference in the area of the land measuring 0.59 acres at the present land rates, the statement said.
 

Besides, the state government will pay the occupation charges on 0.89 acre already in possession till it surrenders it to the ministry, it added.

The state guest house with have all modern facilities keeping in view present and future requirements, the statement said.
