Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today told the state Assembly that the Cabinet would discuss the setting up of a commission to address the problems of the displaced people.

Replying to the ruling MLAs concern over the displaced people, Das said the state government has begun an initiative in the direction to solve the problem.

A total 500 displaced families were given patta (land titles), he said, adding all deputy commissioners of the districts concerned were directed to take steps in this regard.

He said when the Land Acquisition Amendment Bill had come for discussion, the opposition did not take part just as it is doing now.

Das asked the opposition to keep their issues as per the assembly rules and regulations and said the government is ready to discuss on every issue. But the opposition is indulging in spreading falsehood, he added.

The chief minister said the government is ready to discuss on every serious issue, adding the people are watching the role of the opposition.

To an issue raised by BJP MLA Manish Jaiswal, the chief minister said he has directed the NTPC officials to give money to the displaced persons so that they would build their own houses as per their requirement.
