Cadres want "Amma" to contest from their constituencies

: Party functionaries swarmed the AIADMK headquarters here for the fifth consecutive day today, filing applications, urging party supremo and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to contest from their respective constituencies in the coming Assembly election.

State Ministers, inluding S Gokula Indira (Women's wing secretary), B V Ramana (Tiruvallur District Secretary), and Vijayabaskar were among those who filed applications.

They requested Jayalalithaa to contest from constituencies in their respective districts, including their own constituencies.

Applications from ticket aspirants for the coming poll is being received from January 20.Till Feb 3, applications can be filed on payment of a fee of Rs 11,000.
