The "I Am Cait" star, who was an Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete, will use the golfing competition to make a stand for women golfers who feel they need to be treated more equally to men in the sport.
The source added, "She has a strong handicap and is obviously a natural born competitor. This event is a perfect way to make her announcement to the world that she is on the golf course as a woman and wants to be treated that way."
Jenner, a keen golfer who has played the sport for more than 15 years, could be paired up with US soccer star Abby Wambach at the event, however, it's yet to be confirmed.
