Appealing the pro-reservation Jat protesters to suspend their agitation, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Chief Ajit Singh today said the government's decision to call out the army to deal with the Jat agitators "can not be justified".

Terming the move as a "dangerous start" by the BJP government, Singh said if the army is called in to deal with "local political fights" it's a "very dangerous" thing.

"On what basis did you call the army? Will the army shoot our own people? Call CRPF, call BSF. And if your chief minister is so useless impose President's Rule," Singh said.

Singh said the government should make rules to ensure those who get reservation in states get it in Central government jobs too.
