Cameron Diaz does not understand why people give so much importance to what others write about them online.
The Hollywood star, who recently married her partner Benji Madden, quit social networking last year, reported the Huffington Post.
"I think social media is a crazy experiment on society," the 42-year-old said, adding, "The way people use it to get validation from a bunch of strangers is dangerous. What's the point?"
The newly-married actress also shared the secrets of her diet, admitting she is happy to indulge in sugary foods.
"Wellbeing is an equation. Remember, you don't have to have the whole cake, you can have a piece. Don't deprive yourself. Have fun. Just be self-aware.
