In preparations for 2017 assembly polls, ruling Akali Dal will organise a special camp for its workers to apprise them of achievements of state government in the last nine years so that they could inform voters.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today claimed Punjab has made "unprecedented progress" during last nine years and a special camp of SAD workers would be organised in April at Anandpur Sahib to "disseminate information about achievements of government to people.
Chairing a meeting of ex-ministers, MLAs, district presidents, office bearers of various wings of SAD and youth leaders belonging to Hoshiarpur, the Deputy Chief Minister said the "negative and malicious" propaganda unleashed by Congress and AAP against SAD must be tackled strongly.
He said that 2017 assembly polls would be fought by SAD-BJP combine on development issue.
