Amid increasing cases of crime against women in the country, Haryana police have launched a campaign for its officers to make them fully aware of the provisions on the new anti-rape law.

Speaking during a function in Kaithal district, state ADGP Sheel Madhur said this will help the officers in effective handling of such cases.

"For effective implementation of any law, it is pertinent that enforcing agencies should have complete knowledge of it. Under this campaign, almost half of the districts have already been covered and the remaining will be covered in next 10 days," Madhur said.

The main aim of this campaign is to aware both enforcing agencies as well as the people about the provisions of the law, he said.
