Concluding his eight-day visit to the country, Governor General of Canada David Johnston today laid emphasis on strengthening people-to-people contact to achieve the long-term strategic goals of Indo-Canadian partnership.
"Ultimately, the success of our business, academic and cultural partnerships hinges on the quality of ties between individual Canadians and Indians," the Governor General said at a business meet here.
"Though I have only been able to see a fraction of this country, India's remarkable dynamism and potential is everywhere in evidence," Johnston said, adding this starts with frugal innovation. Education, innovation and entrepreneurship were the focus areas of his visit, he said.
