Unidentified persons here looted a
cantor carrying household items of a senior Uttar Pradesh government official, police said.
The incident took place yesterday when the cantor was transporting the household items of Joint Commissioner Commercial Tax Department, Jyotsana Pandey, from Lucknow to Ghaziabad, where she had been transferred, police said.
Unidentified miscreants in car overtaked the cantor and stopped it near Kangrol village in Kotwali Malawan and then drove away with the cantor.
They dropped the driver, Somveer, and his brother Ramveer, the cleaner near FCI godown and the two filed an FIR with Kotwali Malawan Station Officer Digvijay Singh.
SSP Surendra Kumar Verma said two police teams have been deployed to search for the cantor and arrest the accused.
