Capt Kamlesh Kumar takes charge at Ezhimala Naval Station

Captain Kamlesh Kumar has assumed office as the fifth station commander of the Naval station at Ezhimala and Commanding Officer of INS Zamorin, the base depot ship.

An alumni of Sainik School Tilaiya and National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, he took charge on April 2, a press release from Indian Naval Academy said today.

INS Zamorin is responsible for providing administrative and logistic support for the smooth conduct of training for officer cadets at the INA.

The important sea tenures of Kumar, a Navigation and Direction specialist, include command of two warships INS Porbandar and INS Gharial and the Executive Officer of guided missile destroyer INS Ranjit, the release said.
 

Prior to his current appointment, he was Command Plans Officer at the Headquarters, Southern Naval Command, Kochi, the release said.
