In a security breach, a car driven by a 25-year-old man overtook the cavalcade of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here yesterday, sending the police in a tizzy.

However, police said the breach was unintentional.

Interestingly, as Amritash Tiwari, who was at the wheel, refused to get down, the police used a crane to tow the car with him seated inside, to Koh-e-Fiza police station.

The incident occurred on VIP Road at Khanugaon square around 11 am when Tiwari's car overtook the convoy, following which the police personnel chased and intercepted his vehicle.

Police said music was blaring inside the car when they stopped it.

"We grilled Amritash Tiwari, who had worked in US in the past, and came to the conclusion that his act was unintentional. We charged him under section 283 (danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation) of the IPC. As it is a bailable offence, he was let off on bail yesterday," Koh-e-Fiza police station inspector Anil Bajpayee told PTI.
