Carborundum Universal Ltd, part of the diversified business conglomerate Murugappa Group, has recorded a 21.7 per cent rise in the consolidated net profits to Rs 58.45 crore for the second quarter ending September 30, 2017.
The Chennai-based company, had recorded consolidated net profits at Rs 48 crore during corresponding period of last year, Carborundum Universal Ltd said in a BSE filing.
For the six month period ending September 30, 2017 consolidated net profits stood at Rs 100.22 crore from Rs 91.10 crore registered during year ago period.

For the six month period ending September 30, 2017 consolidated total income went upto Rs 1,149.06 crore, from Rs 1,097.74 crore registered during corresponding period of last year.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 361 a piece up by 0.12 per cent over previous close in afternoon BSE.
