: Carborundum Universal Ltd, has recorded a 21.7 per cent rise in its consolidated net profits for the third quarter ending December 31, 2017 at Rs 56.47 crore.
The city-based Murugappa Group company, had clocked consolidated net profits at Rs 46.37 crore during same period of last year.
For the nine month period ending December 31, 2017, consolidated net profits surged by 13.9 per cent to Rs 156.69 crore, from Rs 137.47 crore registered during year ago period.

For the April-December 2017 period, consolidated total income was registered at Rs 1,764 crore as against Rs 1,661 crore registered during year ago period.
The company said the gain in sales and profits were due to better performances from abrasives, ceramics and electro-mineral businesses.
The debt equity ratio as of October-December 31, 2017 quarter stood at 0.01 standalone and consolidated at 0.09.
Shares of the company ended at Rs 361.30 apiece, down by 1.93 per cent over previous close in BSE.
