Carcasses of 19 sheep, reportedly mauled by some wild animals, have been found in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve area, officials said today.
Forest department officials said a farmer had informed them that 19 of his 30 sheep, grazing in the Reserve area of Vilamundy forest on Sunday, did not return.
The farmer said the carcasses were found in the forest yesterday and his complaint has been registered, forest officials added.
