: Panic gripped villagers of Jagirnaickenpalayam on the city outskirts after carcasses of three goats, reportedly killed by a leopard were found early this morning.
Police said three of the five goats were tied in a shed outside a house in the village by the owner and were suspected to have been killed by the feline.
Since some villagers claimed that they had noticed two leopards moving in the area a day ago, they suspect these animals might have strayed into habitat and killed the goats.
The panic-stricken villagers have not ventured out, fearing movement of the animals, police said.
