Cardamom futures eased by 0.26% to Rs 953 per kg in futures trading today as participants booked profits at prevailing levels amidst sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April fell by Rs 2.50, or 0.26% to Rs 953 per kg in business turnover of 136 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in May contracts traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.04% to Rs 930 per kg in 3 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
