Cardamom prices inched up by 0.14 per cent to Rs 1,383 per kg in futures trading today as speculators built up fresh positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May edged up by Rs 2, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 1383 per kg in business turnover of 31 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants due to uptick in demand in the spot market, mainly attributed the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
