Cardamom up by 0.6% on rising demand

Cardamom up by 0.6% on rising demand

Amid rising domestic as well as exports demand at spot market and restricted supplies from producing region, cardamom futures advanced by 0.62% in futures trade today as participants widened their bets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month March went up by Rs 4.60, or 0.62%, to Rs 743.60 per kg, in a business turnover of 49 lots.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 2.60, or 0.37%, to Rs 714.70 per kg in 62 lots.

Analysts said traders enlarged positions on the back of pick up in domestic and exports demand at the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts, drove cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
