Cardamom prices fell further by 0.58 per cent to Rs 970 per kg in futures trade today, extending losses for a fourth day owing to subdued demand at spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December declined by Rs 5.70, or 0.58 per cent to Rs 970 per kg in a business turnover of 4 lots.
The spice for delivery in January 2018 was trading lower by 60 paise, or 0.06 per cent to Rs 1,045 per kg in 11 lots.
Traders said offloading of positions by participants on the back of weak domestic and export demand in physical market against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices down at futures trade.
