Cardamom prices fell by 0.39 per cent to Rs 763 per kg in futures trading today after speculators offloaded positions on sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March fell by Rs 3, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 763 per kg in business turnover of 357 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in April shed Rs 2.10, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 792 per kg in 108 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
