Cardamom futures fell by 0.87 per cent to Rs 1,408 per kg today as traders trimmed their holdings amid sluggish spot demand.
Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing regions also fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February eased by Rs 12.30, or 0.87 per cent to Rs 1,408 per kg in a business turnover of just two lots.

The spice for delivery in January was trading down by Rs 6.10, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 1,365 per kg with a trading volume of 25 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
