Cardamom futures fell by 2.58 per cent to Rs 1,286 per kg today as traders trimmed their holdings amid sluggish spot demand.
Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing regions also fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November declined by Rs 34.10 or 2.58 per cent to Rs 1,286 per kg in a business turnover of 30 lots.
The spice for delivery in December was down by Rs 33.60 or 2.45 per cent to Rs 1,340.60 per kg with a trading volume of 408 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
