Cardamom prices edged up by 0.33 per cent to Rs 1,384.90 per kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged position, driven by rising demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April rose by Rs 4.60, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 1,384.90 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.

Traders said fresh positions created by participants following strong domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions mainly helped cardamom prices to trade higher at futures trade.
