Amid domestic as well as export demand, cardamom prices rose further 0.30 per cent to Rs 974.50 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June rose by Rs 2.90, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 974.50 per kg in business turnover of 73 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in July contract moved up by Rs 2.20, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 942.90 per kg in 5 lots.

Analysts said the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade was mainly attributed domestic and export demand in the spot markets.
