Further, tight stocks position in the physical market on restricted arrivals from producing belt fuelled the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September added another Rs 2.70, or 0.28%, to Rs 958.40 per kg in business turnover of 118 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in October month gained 80 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 950.10 per kg in 17 lots.

Market analysts creation of positions by speculators supported by rising demand in the spot markets mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
